Im Racing zaehlen maximale Beschleunigung und die beste Kontrolle des Materials, um ganz oben auf dem Podest zu stehen.
Da ist es nur logisch, dass alle Neuerungen und Verbesserungen des WARP_FIN 20.22 genau darauf abzielen. Das letztjaehrige Modell markierte ein komplettes Re-Design. Das insbesondere bei den grossen Groessen staerker ausgepraegte High Aspect Ratio Design mit verkuerzter Gabel und nach vorne verschobenem Profil benoetigt weniger Kraft, liegt leichter in der Hand und bietet mehr Kontrolle am oberen Windlimit. ZZusaetzlich stabilisieren steifere Tube-Latten den Shape bis weit in den ueberpowerten Bereich und man kann selbst Hammerboeen souveraen in ein Plus an Geschwindigkeit umwandeln. Insgesamt gibt sich das WARP_FIN also ausbalancierter, kraeftesparender und weit nach oben kontrollierbar. Basierend auf dem erfolgreichen NO COMPROMISE DESIGN Konzept ist der Druckpunkt ein Stueck weiter nach oben verlegt worden, um dem Board gezielt Lift zu geben, somit besser anzugleiten und dank verringertem Widerstand explosiver zu beschleunigen. Das NO COMPROMISE DESIGN ermoeglicht zudem, dass der Vortrieb nicht schlagartig einsetzt und mit viel Kraft abgefangen werden muss, sondern sich wesentlich weicher aufbaut als bei anderen Power Slalom Segeln! Das entlastet den Piloten, gibt Powerreserven fuer die gesamte Distanz und volle Konzentration auf das Renngeschehen. Es gibt noch weitere, positive Nebeneffekte der veraenderten Profilgeometrie mit hoeherem Druckpunkt: Der Trimm des Boards verbessert sich und in Kombination mit der konkurrenzlos weichen Camberrotation shiftet das Segel noch sauberer.
Fuer 2022 hat das Team an der Optimierung der oberen Vorliekskurve gearbeitet, was die Gesamtleistung nochmals verbessert und die Segel noch weniger physisch macht. Um den neuen PWA-Regeln zu entsprechen, wurde die meiste Arbeit in das neue 5.8 gesteckt, um sicherzustellen, dass es den gleichen Windbereich und die gleiche Performance wie die vorherigen 6.2 und 5.5 abdeckt.

In racing, maximum acceleration and control over the material are what count when it comes to standing at the top of the podium.
So it.s only logical that all the innovations and improvements of the WARP_FIN 20.22 are aimed precisely at this. Last year.s model marked a complete redesign. The more pronounced High Aspect Ratio design, especially in the larger sizes, with a shortened boom length and a forward-shifted profile, requires less power, is lighter in the hand and offers more control at the upper wind limit. In addition, stiffer tube battens stabilize the shape well into the overpowered range and you can easily convert even monster gusts into a plus in speed. All in all the WARP_FIN is more balanced, less exhausting and even more controllable. On the other hand, acceleration and speed-up have also been improved to make up ground after the start and jibes. Based on the successful NO COMPROMISE DESIGN concept, the draft position has been moved a bit further up to lift the board which leads to improved planing and explosive acceleration thanks to reduced resistance. The NO COMPROMISE DESIGN also makes it possible that the propulsion does not start abruptly and has to be “muscled down” but builds up much softer than with other power slalom sails! This relieves the pilot, gives power reserves for the entire course and full concentration on the race.
There are other positive side effects of the modified profile geometry with a higher draft position: the trim of the board improves and in combination with the unrivalled soft camber rotation the sail shifts even more effortless and faster.
For 2022 the team has worked on optimizing the upper luff curve which again improves the overall performance and makes the sails even less physical. To comply with the new PWA rules most work went into new 5.8 to ensure it covers the same wind range and performance as the previous 6.2 and 5.5.
